my first thanksgiving as a vegan! I was expecting it to be harder to find good vegan meals to share with my family, but it’s amazing how many cruelty-free vegan options there are! we’re making a turkey out of fruit this year 🙂

I work at the entry kiosk of a campground with a lot of wild turkeys. They often come drink from the dog water bowl that we leave out, so they tend to start a lot of conversations with visitors. It makes me sick how many people’s first thought when they see a group of wild turkeys is how good they would taste.
I hate the whole abuse part, but I like turkey so, unless some form of vegan turkey tastes like regular turkey, I don’t think I can have a vegan thanksgiving ._.
Also my parents think the whole idea of this is bullshit, so it also ain’t happenin unless my vegan sister convinces my mom.

I am so proud for being vegan..
I’d totally go vegan. But my entire family are hunters and think this is all just stupid. So I’m afraid I’ll have to wait till I’m out of my parents house until I can make the change.
